Award Season: CCLGL Section Seeking 2020 & 2021 Marsicano Award Nominees!

The Ralph A. Marsicano Award is the most coveted and respected award presented by the CCLGL Section. Each year it is awarded to an individual who has made significant and outstanding contributions to the development of Local Government Law in Florida. Due to the cancellation of the awards program in 2020 due to COVID, the Section is soliciting nominations for both the 2020 and 2021 Marsicano Awards. If you know someone worthy of this honor, please forward the name of your nominee to the City, County and Local Government Law Section liaison, Ricky Libbert, at [email protected] by March 18, 2021. With your nomination, please include a brief statement of the nominee’s contributions to Local Government Law, the Bar, and the community. It is not necessary that this be in any particular format, and the nomination may be made with a minimum of biographical information, which can subsequently be pursued. Each nominee must be a member of The Florida Bar but need not be a member of the City, County and Local Government Law Section; but, of course, those who have shown a dedication to and interest in local government law by being members of the Section will be given every consideration as well. The 2020 and 2021 Marsicano awards will be presented at a special awards ceremony during the Section’s 44th Annual Local Government Law in Florida Seminar, on April 30, 2021.
