States of Emergency Under LOF 2021-8: A Free Lunchtime Webinar
CLE Chair: Bob Swain
Date/Time: August 18, 2021 – 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The 2021 Florida legislature made significant changes to the way state and local governments address emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and funding, primarily in response to how various Counties and Municipalities exercised their emergency management powers under Fla. Stat. § 252.38 to address the COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar will discuss the major limitations and changes to the law, what has stayed the same, and how local governments can respond to long term emergencies in the future.
